ABOUT
Learn the basic methods of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) on infants, children and adults.
Know that the administration of first aid is governed by the law and regulations.
OBJECTIVES
The skills to be acquired are theoretical and practical. They will be validated by a test:
- Recognize an emergency;
- Take action in an emergency;
- Administer first aid;
- Apply CPR;
- Use an automated external defibrillator (AED).
PREREQUISITES
Be member.
Have taken the initiation to community life course
CERTIFICATION
Certificate of participation recognized by the CNESST (valid for 3 years).

SECTION 2 - TRAUMA
- Approach to trauma
- Hemorrhages, complex wounds and minor wounds
- Head and spinal injuries
- Trauma to the extremities
- Emergency moves and improvised transport
- Intoxication: The workplace and opioids
- Burns
- Hypothermia
- Frostbite
- Heat-related problems
