ABOUT
Industry best practices require that anyone exposed to a fall from height and using a harness have a rescue plan adapted to the workplace.
As dialing 911 is not the fastest option in most cases, the union is offering training on a new rescue method using simple and easy-to-use equipment.
This training is for all members, beginner or advanced, and includes demonstrations and numerous practical exercises in a controlled and safe environment.
OBJECTIVES
- Learn a simple, effective, and safe method for high-angle rescue.
- Analyze workplace environment risks.
More specifically, the following topics will be covered: regulations, the psychology of emergency response, equipment and methodology, communication, etc.
PREREQUISITES
- Already be a member of AQTIS 514 IATSE.
- Have taken the initiation to community life course
- Have taken the fall protection course less than three years ago
