Safe Use of the Telescopic Zoomboom Lift

ABOUT
Learn how to inspect, safely operate and drive a zoomboom lift and how to identify the risks associated with operating and driving it.
Know that the use of this equipment is governed by laws and regulations.
OBJECTIVES
To acquire the following theoretical and practical competencies that will be validated by a test:
- Inspect the equipment;
- Know the equipment’s capacity and limitations;
- Operate the equipment safely;
- Plan the operations and movements to be carried out.
PREREQUISITES
- Have taken the Standard Forklift training course.
- Be age 16 or older.
- Have a driver’s licence.
- Be member
- Have taken the initiation to community life course

The number of participants allowed in each course is limited. On the day of the course, we will not admit any participants who have not paid for it in advance.
IMPORTANT: Please note that safety shoes must be worn to participate in training. Failure to do so may result in the trainer refusing to accept you, and you will be considered absent without a valid reason, subject to a $100 charge as per our cancellation policy.

After completing the course, participants will be able to:
- Communicate risks, types of equipment, principles of stability and capacity
- Complete and check a (daily) pre-operation inspection sheet
- Use and operate a zoomboom safely
- Knowledge check: theoretical (written) and practical under the supervision of a qualified person
