Diversity Committee
The Diversity Committee was created to work on issues around the inclusion of minority and marginalized groups.List of main issues:
• Identify inclusion issues within our structures and at our workplaces
• Inform and educate all members on these issues
• Find ways to foster the promotion and integration of members of minority and marginalized groups in our industry
Roles and responsibilities:
• Identify problematic or discriminatory situations
• Promote inclusion and aim for representation that reflects our society
• Create (or support the creation of) an information campaign
• Recommend to the Executive concrete actions that address these challenges
Sample actions:
• Partnership with Diversité Artistique Montréal to implement a mentoring program for technicians from visible minorities
• Recommend to the Executive the development of affirmative action policies within the organization
